Welcome to Accordare

Accordare makes software for rapid deployment of trading partner connections. Our customers range from Enterprise-scale customers such as large automotive companies, chip manufacturers and cellular-phone makers to government agencies, armed forces, and systems integrators, to medium-size companies seeking to enhance value in their relationships
We focus on the "last mile” XML problem. We develop and market software products that address problems in connection, operation and maintenance of XML-based trading partner agreements. We assume the presence of enabling software for trading connections such as middleware, or Web Services enabled applications. Our benefit is in shortening the time to value of that technology through accelerating deployment and operational phases of connection.

In the past, the cost of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) deployment (the previous technology) became an impenetrable barrier to connecting companies below a certain size. The vision of XML is that the significantly lower cost of implementation and deployment will overcome that barrier. This is true.
However, the cost of deploying XML connections among the thousands of trading partners of a typical company will result in deployment costs many times the cost of the initial implementation. This economic barrier to deployment of XML is as formidable a barrier to XML-based trading connections as we used to see for the deployment of EDI. The Gartner Group has identified this as an infrastructure area that needs to be addressed in supplier qualification.
Our product, the Reflector, addresses the problem of deploying trading agreements, and reduces the cost and time to achieve reliable trading. The product improves time-to-value and overall quality for our customers resulting in an expected 200-400% first year ROI or 6 months or less payback.
Accordare creates software tools which significantly reduce the cost of deploying XML-based business transactions between trading partners.

Real-world electronic trading requires more than point-to-point connections

The Reflector is currently installed at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) as the basis for the National B2B Testbed.
